Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

The International Journal of Computational Science and Digital Innovation (IJCSDI) strictly adheres to the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

  • Fairness & Independence: Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual and scientific merit without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or institutional affiliation.
  • Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff do not disclose manuscript information to anyone other than corresponding authors, appointed reviewers, and editorial advisors.
  • Conflict Management: Editors recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where they have personal, academic, or financial conflicts of interest.

2. Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality & Plagiarism: Authors must submit entirely original work. Any text, ideas, or figures from other sources must be explicitly cited and quoted.
  • Concurrent Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unethical publishing behavior and strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship Integrity: All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
  • Disclosure of AI Usage: The use of generative AI tools must be transparently disclosed in the submission declarations.

3. Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists editors in making decisions and helps authors improve their work.
  • Promptness: Any selected referee who feels unqualified or unable to review within the deadline must immediately decline the invitation.
  • Standards of Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate and unacceptable.
